Tau Devilfish

Basic transport for the Tau Army.  The Pathfinders you see in the foreground can only be taken if you have a devilfish for them.  Finished my Librarian Dreadnought and Throgg the Troll King last night; numbers updated below.

Kroot

These guys are pretty good for hanging out in the woods and shooting.  While their guns aren’t that powerful, they get good cover saves and have a decent assault phase if anyone gets too close.

Finished the Sanguinor last night and got close to finishing the Librarian Dreadnought.  It looks like I need to update my commitment, because I already hit it for the year; new Commitment:  2 Units per week.

Blood Angels Terminators

Here they are in their full glory; my full 10-man squad of Blood Angels Terminators.  These guys are super tough in their own rites, but I’m totally looking forward to sticking a Sanguinary priest with them to give them Feel No Pain…

Didn’t finish my commitment over the weekend due to being over-committed with other things.  I’ll finish them this week, however.

Tau Fire Warriors

These guys definitely need a new codex.  They have strong weapons, but they don’t work very well against Space Marines.  That combined with their bad armour save makes them pretty weak.  These are both of my squads.  I’m hoping to pick up another battleforce at some point in the future, so I’ll eventually have 3, but I think that’ll be overkill except in large games.  The only real reason to take them is that they hold objectives.

Did some more painting last night.  I should finish this batch tonight or tomorrow night.

Blood Angels Assault Marines

Haven’t used these guys yet, but I love that they are core troops for the Blood Angels.  I went ahead and magnetized their packs so I could put them in a Razorback if I wanted to.  Man… I’m really itching to play with this army.

Did a little painting last night.  This week has been slow, but my wife will be out tonight, so hopefully I’ll catch up.

Tau Stealth Suit Team

Not really a whole lot to say about these guys.  Jump, Shoot, Jump keeps them alive, but they just don’t have the firepower of a Crisis Suit team.  I need to get three more to max the squad, and then they might be dangerous.

Played two games last night as Chaos and lost them both.  Partially for being a bad general, partially for using an experimental list, and partially for not being prepared to go up against an Empire/Ogre Kingdoms combo.  If I had it to do over, I would have focused more on magic.  I’ll know better next time.  😀

Death Company Dreadnought

When models are mostly black, they’re pretty easy to paint.  I actually made a slight modification to this model after I took this picture; I added a magna-grapple to its right shoulder.  I haven’t had a chance to play my Blood Angels with the new rules yet.  Part of it is that most of my friends play Space Marine variants, and it feels weird to do space marines vs space marines, you know?  I guess I don’t have much choice, though.  :/

Did some painting last night for this weeks commitment:  15 Giant rats with 2 Packmasters, Skweel Gnawtooth, Librarian Dreadnought, The Sanguinor, and Throgg the Troll King– hopefully I’ll finish them by Friday/Saturday.  I finished some units last week; 2 Rat Ogres and a Packmaster, Grey Seer, 3 Rat Swarms, and another Plague Mortar; numbers updated below.
